statement Wednesday that Khaled Hathal Abdullah
al-Atifi al-Qahtani contacted the security
authorities from an undisclosed country and
expressed his wish to come home.""Al-Qahtani
is a common Saudi name and there are many
individuals in AQAP with that name.....They
may be related in some other more distant way."
Speaking on Fox television, Mr Brennan said if
US troops "were confident of that in terms of
his not having an IED [improvised explosives
device] on his body, his not having some type
of hidden weapon or whatever".The ministry
issued a new list of 47 most-wanted terrorists
on Jan. 8. Interpol had issued a worldwide alert
for militants with suspected links to Al-Qaeda
who
are wanted on terrorism charges.The list of
47 was the fifth
list of most-wanted terrorists
issued by the ministry since Al-Qaeda militants
carried out a series of attacks inside the Kingdom
that began in 2003."Our resolve is even stronger
following bin Laden's death because we know it
will have an impact on those who are in the
battlefield in Afghanistan."
